Indiana Jones or Batman? Who's your hero?

Zach watched Indana Jones and fell in love (his dad and grandpa are so proud).  So naturally we had to create and Indiana Jones themed room.  In the room we hung up some pictures cut out of a calendar.
I though it is funny that he has a pet snake

Our friend Hollie painted this map and burnt the edges to give it an old time feel
The lantern I bought at walmart and my brother tobias wired a flickering light so we can use it as a night light.  We also go some old books, Briefcases and leather animals like Indiana's office.  The movie poster my dad bought at the youth ranch.
I found this sillouhett and cutted it out and tricia sewed it on
Zach's blanket has a few blocks that represent different parts of the movies... the holy grail, ark of the covnant, his dads journal,  and on the side we put a coupe of pilars.

It took Rhys 10 seconds to fall in love with batman.  every morning he would wake up and say coco and batman please.  We bought the main batman square on ebay along with the batman pattern.  Cutting them out was ot easy.

For his name I took some left over fabric and glued it to the wooden letters we bought at Woodland Manufacturing in boise.
I made this buk bed a few months ago when we moved the boys into one room.  The hardest part was routing all the edges of every piece of wood.  The Rifle is from 1891 and is my grandpa's

it's a jungle in there

this is the jungle themed room we are creating for our youngest son Elliott.  I wanted to have different objects look like different animals throught out the room.  I am going to add a giraffe by the window but I need help with the blank spot between the trees.  The trees are made from Masonite (it's like peg board but with no holes)  The branches we bought at hobby lobby for half off, because if they weren't we would had to make a desert themed room.
this blanket Tricia pieced from another blanket to fit his bed

the tent is framed with some 1x2 and fabric purchased at joann's in boise.  Tricia also sewed on some loops and we will add some pegs to finish it off.  The Elephant I made from scratch

the night stand was black with a silver drawer I taped it than cut the tape in a stripe pattern to match a zebra.  I created the bed all from scratch and painnted it to look like a reptile.  we bought the letters on the branch from Hobby Lobby in Boise and glued on leopard print fabric.  The stuffed owl tricia Made.

The Grass is also Masonite.  the sun is made from Spray Insulation.  I really wanted a lot of textures in his room.  The dresser I did just like the night stand and choose to give a tiger look.

there is even a spare tire on the back hidden by the stuffed animals
I wanted his name to look like a leopard on laying on a limb.  I am going to attach a tail to the last T
Here is Elliott enjoyng his room

Rocking elephant

I have been working on this over the last week or so and wish I would have taken more pictures during the process so I can show that I really did make this.  Tricia helped me in giving her opinion and the final painting.  The rockers are from the top of a spindel crib we tore apart.  My dad donated the mainn block of wood wich is a 4 by 8.  The head was left over from the jeep bed that I made for my son.  And the legs were left overs from the bunk beds I made from them.  Hopefully we will have more pictures of all the things we do.

Travs

I was born and delivered in the same city , hospital, and by the same Dr. as my dad was. I enjoyed living cascade and graduated there. My spare time was filled with climbing and repelling local cliffs. I have instructed over a thousand people on how to repel, from young to old, big and small. I have lived in mccall,id and sun valley, I served a mission in Melbourne Australia and lived in Tasmania for 9 months. After coming back home I joined my dad in college at LCSC in Lewiston, ID. Where I both met my wife and earned an A.A.S. in Hotel Restaurant Management. As a family we worked in mccall and than in denver for 1 year. we moved back to Idaho 3 years ago and currently reside in Kuna, ID.
